Annually (in March or April) the Chamber of Commerce along with the Downtown Development Authority honor outstanding local leaders, business people and volunteers who have made a significant impact in the Garden City community and have been an inspiration to others.

The individual awards given include: Garden City First Citizen, Garden City Business Person of the Year and the Business Beautification Award.
